UCI BioSci Websites
UCI BioSci has 18 websites and microsites that the marketing team manages with Wordpress. The sites represent the the various centers, departments, and resources the school has to offer. Below features some of the sites that the Marketing and Communications Manager and myself have stylized from scratch.
UCI BioSci Inclusive Excellence
The UCI School of Biological Sciences created the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) in October 2020. Over the past few months, I worked in collaboration with the Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Marketing and Communications Manager to launch the website. This website was particularly fun to create because we used graphic illustrations to stylize most of the site, which we created in Canva and/or Illustrator. This made the site very bright, colorful, and unique. The site was officially launched on April 16, 2021. Check out the site below!
Undergraduate Microsite
Even though in person events were cancelled in 2020, it was still priority number one to make sure UCI BioSci students had the information they needed to start the Fall Quarter off right. We gathered all the resources we normally would present at that event and created the UCI BioSci Undergraduate microsite—a one stop shop for student info. I worked in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Manager to stylize and structure this site within a couple of weeks. Specifically, I created the graphics, content, layout, and style for the “New Student” related pages, as well as others. The site consists of over 28 pages, and we continue to work in conjunction with our Student Affairs office to keep the pages updated. Check out the site below!
Remote Microsite
COVID-19 drastically affected how we live our lives day to day. For UCI BioSci, we needed resources QUICK that our students, faculty, and staff could access to start living the “new normal.” The Marketing and Communications Manager and I, along with a few members of our marketing team, stylized and created content for this vast site in less than a month. The site includes resources for the entire BioSci community, including undergraduates, graduates, faculty, and staff.
